It has been a long time coming but last week we celebrated the launch of The Evans & Tate Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 with a fabulous long table lunch at The Centennial Hotel in Woollahra.

 

 

The Evans & Tate Cabernet Sauvignon is a first for Evans & Tate and our senior winemaker Matt Byrne who celebrates his fifteenth vintage with Evans & Tate this year.

“We wanted to create a Cabernet Sauvignon that was elegant, yet intense, and with tremendous length of flavour.  This wine highlights the varietal character of our most outstanding parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon, from the exceptional 2012 vintage.”  Matt Byrne senior winemaker.

 

 

The Centennial’s Chef Justin North matched The Evans & Tate Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 with Roast Black Angus Chateaubriand, celeriac puree, caramelised cauliflower, Paris mash & Perigueux sauce.  Simply superb.  Thank you to the team at The Centennial Hotel and Tonic PR for putting on a truly memorable event and to everyone who attended we look forward to catching up again soon.
